In July 2004 Mark Childs of Warwick Univesity took over from Chris O'Hagan as the chair of the international DIVERSE network. "Video and video conferencing are entering a new era of technological development in education, both in the EU and beyond", Mark said. The venue for DIVERSE 2005 has now been confirmed as Nashville, Tennessee, US and will take place 5-7 July inclusive (see theDIVERSE 2005 website for details). No pre-conference workshops have been proposed at this time. Important dates include: call for papers (now Monday 10th January 2005) and the early bird registration (31st March 2005).
