Guide to multimedia and e-learning accessibility

We are very pleased to announce the launch a new comprehensive web guide to multimedia, e-learning and accessibility. Whether you're new to e-learning, want to know more about specific accessibility issues, or are an expert multimedia developer, we hope you'll find the information you need. The web site can be viewed at www.skillsforaccess.org.uk

In terms of future development of the web site - the functionality and resources produced, the project team will be endeavouring to secure further funding to keep the resource updated and developed in response to the community's needs. Part of this development activity will involve commissioning and documenting new case studies to build up this area of the web site and adding further resources. There is a contact form available on the web site where we would welcome your comments or feedback.

We hope you and many others will find the resource useful and that it will have a lasting impact on the future development of accessible e-learning resources. Please forward to any colleagues who may find this of interest.

This invaluable information can be digested in only a few minutes at http://www.tasi.ac.uk/advice/using/images_education.html Further resources for teaching and learning can be found in the Finding and Using Digital Images section of the site at http://www.tasi.ac.uk/advice/using/using.html As ever, we welcome feedback on our resources. I hope you will find the resource useful.

Online registration now available

Online registration is now available for the DIVERSE Conference 2005 at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, July 5th - 7th, 2005. Registration details and information on the venue on the conference and accommodation is available at the conference website at www.vanderbilt.edu/DIVERSE2005/

We have over forty papers being presented, by leaders in the field of video and videoconferencing in Europe and North America. One of the features of the DIVERSE conferences is that they are small conferences, enabling effective networking for all of the participants. This does mean, however, that places are very limited, and the majority of them have already been filled. Registering soon is therefore advised.

Enquiries about the venue and the programme can be addressed to the conference host and organiser Lori Schneiders lori.schnieders@vanderbilt.edu If you have any questions about DIVERSE in general, I'd be pleased to hear from you.We hope you can join us in Nashville.
